Our mission
HelloPets exists to answer one question honestly: which pet insurance policy should you buy? We read the policy wording of every significant insurer in a market, pull out the facts that decide a claim, and rank the policies on a single published scale.
We cover a market at a time, in full. That means a review for every significant insurer, partner or not, instead of a sponsored top ten. If you search for a brand, you should land on a HelloPets review that tells you the truth about its contract.
Editorial independence
Our ratings come from the documents, from pricing data and from public customer reviews. The order of a ranking follows the score, and nothing else. An insurer cannot buy a better position. You can read the full rubric on our methodology page.
How we fit into the HelloSafe group
HelloPets is part of the HelloSafe group, an insurance comparison company. HelloPets runs as an independent media outlet with its own editorial rules. There is no co-branding, and no insurer or group interest overrides the score.
The team
HelloPets is written and rated by Louise Smith, lead pet insurance analyst at HelloPets, who has spent 12 years comparing insurance contracts. Health content is written for review by a licensed veterinarian. See everyone on our authors page.
How we make money
When a reader buys a policy through a partner link, that insurer pays HelloPets a commission at no extra cost to the reader. Insurers that are not partners are reviewed and ranked on exactly the same scale.
